Privacy notice
Interim notice — under review
Community FarmTable has not launched yet. Today the site collects information only through its waitlist forms and its contact form. This notice says what each form collects, why, and what happens to it.
What each form collects and why
Customer waitlist
Collects: first and last name, email, phone (optional), street address (optional), city, ZIP code, the kinds of food you're interested in, how often you think you'd order, a referral code, any notes you add, and whether you want occasional updates.
Why: to contact you when we launch in your area and to understand what people near you want.
Producer waitlist
Collects: first and last name, email, phone, your role, business or garden name and type, street address, city, state, ZIP code, a description of what you grow or make, website and social media links, product types and products, growing methods as you describe them, rough production volume, how you heard about us, any notes, whether you also want to join the customer waitlist, and whether you want occasional updates.
Why: to invite you to apply as a producer and to understand who grows and makes food near our customers.
Expansion interest
Collects: first and last name, email, phone (optional), city, state, ZIP or postal code, region, whether you're interested as a customer, producer or both, producer type, why you're interested, whether you have local connections or would help organize, and whether you want occasional updates.
Why: to gauge interest in new areas and to tell you if we expand to yours.
Contact form
Collects: your name, email, the topic you pick and your message.
Why: to answer you, and to act on requests such as deleting your data.
What stays private
- Producer street addresses and phone numbers are never shown publicly.
- Customer phone numbers and street addresses are never shown publicly.
- We do not sell your information.
We don't send any emails yet — not even a confirmation. When we launch in your area we'll contact you at the address you gave us. We record whether you ticked the box for occasional updates.
Where it is stored
Form submissions are stored in a Neon Postgres database in the United States. The site is hosted on Vercel.
Spam protection and technical data
- To limit spam, each form counts how many times it is sent from a network (IP) address in each hour. That count is stored with the IP address and the form's name.
- After you join, this browser tab remembers your email address (and, for expansion interest, your city) so the thank-you page can show it. It is cleared when you close the tab.
- There is no cart yet.
- Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser requests them.
Deleting your data
To have your information deleted, use the contact form and choose “Delete my data”. Use the same email address you signed up with.
