About
Windy City Harvest is the Chicago Botanic Garden's award-winning urban agriculture job-training program. Operating since 2004, we run 10+ growing sites across Chicago's most underserved neighborhoods.
Our farms produce over 50,000 pounds of certified naturally grown produce annually, sold at farmers markets, through CSA subscriptions, and on Farm Table. We specialize in heirloom varieties and diverse culturally relevant crops.
Program graduates go on to careers in farming, food business, and urban agriculture — building a sustainable food workforce rooted in equity and community.
