About
Three Sisters Garden is a small family farm in Kankakee, Illinois, named after the traditional Indigenous companion planting system of corn, beans, and squash. We practice what we preach — companion planting is at the heart of everything we do.
Owned by the Morales family, we grow heirloom and open-pollinated varieties, saving seeds each year. Our 40-acre farm is certified organic and uses regenerative practices to build soil health for future generations.
We sell at three Chicago markets and through Farm Table, focusing on the vegetables that tell a story — heritage varieties with deep cultural roots in Latin America and Indigenous North America.

Garden tip: the Three Sisters method enriches soil naturally. Beans fix nitrogen, corn provides a trellis, squash shades the ground. Try it!
